We kicked off the day with some serious glam. The incredibly talented Paula (@beautybypaula) worked her makeup magic on Allison, giving her a radiant, camera-ready glow that highlighted her natural beauty. Meanwhile, Darlene (@crownedbydar) styled her hair to perfection—think soft, romantic waves that framed her face like a dream. I wish I could show you Allison’s inspiration board for hair, makeup, and photos… but we got a little distracted by the food (more on that in a second).

Once Allison and Marcel were ready, we met up at Joey Yorkdale, a chic, upscale restaurant bar located inside Toronto’s Yorkdale Shopping Centre. The vibe? Modern, warm, and filled with gorgeous accent pieces that made every frame pop. From textured walls to sleek furnishings, this venue is a photographer’s playground—and the staff were so kind and welcoming, which made our shoot flow effortlessly.

We took advantage of the stunning interiors for the first half of our engagement shoot. You could feel the connection between these two in every glance, and moment they shared. Their love was so genuine, it practically translated on its own into each photo. It’s always a gift when a couple brings such natural chemistry into a session.
